Well, you don’t have to have played before, as our friendly professional croupiers are on hand to explain everything. We tend to concentrate on easier games like blackjack and roulette as they can be picked up very quickly allowing the games to progress smoothly.
Blackjack is one of the world’s most popular casino games. A bit like ‘pontoon’ - the object being to draw cards getting as close to 21 as possible but without going over 21. After placing your bet you are dealt 2 cards face up, while the dealer takes one card. Then players take it in turn to take as many cards as they want until they have a total closer to 21 than the dealer will achieve. All cards count as their face value with picture cards counting as 10 and the ace counts as either 1 or 11. After everyone has taken their cards, the dealer will start to take their cards. The dealer must take cards until they reach at total of at least 17. The majority of people know of this game and may have played it at some time. A very simple game to learn and within 5 mins everyone will be sharing their new found knowledge with other newcomers.
Roulette is probably the oldest and most famous casino game. Each player is given chips of a unique colour so they can distinguish their bets from those of the other players. To play the game, The dealer will ask you to ‘Place your bets’ and then will spin the wheel in one direction and the ball in the other. The players try to guess which number the ball will land in. After the ball drops the dealer will place the win marker on the winning number, clear away all losing bets and then pay all winning bets. We are then ready to start again. Roulette has a host of different bets but is very very easy to learn and can be picked up within 5-10 minutes and within 20 minutes you’ll be teaching other people.
